Paranormal Activity 2

my wife and i were so tired the whole day that we decided to go to marquee mall and indulge in watching a movie.  we set our mind in watching "megamind" since we figure that it doesnt need much thinking, since are energy was already low, we need something to pick us up. after the dinner we found out that the schedule was 30 mins earlier than the normal last film shown. next best thing was "paranormal activity 2".

i liked the 1st part, i was scared out of my chair in the movie house. but we had doubts about the second installment.  since time in memorial most, if not all 2nd installment movies were NO good at all, well compared to the 1st of course.  and the opinion of the ticket lady didn't help at all. the day before when we watched "unstoppable" i ask the ticket lady if she happen to watch "paranormal activity 2" and she utter, "naku sir, napanood ko na po, boring po." that sealed the deal for us. no more paranormal for us.

now with my personal review.  the film was simple, direct to the point.  the scheme they used was effective, the amateur/ personal camera footage type of filming, (ala blair witch) maybe this is the reason why the ticket lady find it boring, she might have vertigo or shes expecting hahaha! and the no sound effect/cctv feel of the film added some FEAR factor as well.

the transition from the 1st film was seamless, haft way through the film you will get the idea. why, how, when and to whom it all happened.  is it at all scary like the first ??? HELL YEAH !!! i think this 2nd part is MORE frightening.  they took some elements from the 1st part and made it better.  my wife was clamping all over me all through out the movie. and she is not the typical girl date that can be easily frightened.  (the ring, exorcism of emily rose and sixth sense where no match to my girl.) and if i compare her to my bestbud/sfren (so matatakutin) she will will every round in the bout.

i highly recommend this film.  you should all go out and watch it.  as the very infamous venus raj may put it.  im my 29 years of exixtence, this movie is the MAJOR, MAJOR scary film i have watched! paranormal activity 3.. bring it on !!!

Highest Grossing Movie of ALL TIME

i am a self confessed movie buff. there is nothing more relaxing than enjoying a good movie. its the cheapest way to visit a different realm of reality, and its over in 2 hours or so.  I dont have specific genre on mind, if i find it interesting i will watch it.  though i have noticed that i am not into period movies, i find them quite dragging and boring. Me and my wife makes it a point to catch a movie every week.  having said that, i got interested to check out the highest grossing movies of all time and make an instant checklist of the enumerated films.   figures are all in millions, go check out your favorite films.
